2007
In 2007, Westbourne students have achieved an average ENTER of over 80. This is only the second time of such a splendid result, and it matches 2006. Results of VCE exams indicate a very solid year’s work; 2 students have an ENTER over 99: 8 students have 95 or more and 67 students have scored 80 or above. In 2007, all 133 Year 12 students have satisfied the requirements for their VCE, maintaining our long tradition of 100% pass rate.
In terms of Study Scores, the highest possible result is 50. In 2007, 10 students scored between 45 and 50, and 40 students between 40 and 44.
The Median Score of all our students is over 80, which means that 50% of our students are placed in the top 20% of all Victorian candidates.
The two students who obtained an ENTER over 99 are placed in the top 1% of all Victorian students. Dux of the School was Thanh Huynh with 99.75. Thanh lives in Kings Park and joined the School in Year 7. Thanh was heavily involved in Flinders Inter-House activities, particularly in Debating, Athletics and Chess. He also represented the School in Softball and Badminton.
The maximum score a student can obtain in any subject is 50. A score over 40 indicates that the student is in the top 8% of all candidates. Thanh obtained a perfect score of 50 in Maths Methods, 49 for Chemistry, 46 for Accounting (in 2006), 44 for English, 42 for General Maths Methods and 41 for L.O.T.E.
