Sport at Westbourne Grammar School is offered in the belief that the game and the good fellowship that flows from sporting activities are more important than the result. Students benefit enormously from membership of sporting teams, from training, playing together in pursuit of a common goal, and from participating in a field of endeavour where teamwork rather than individual effort is rewarded.
All students are required to take part in the sporting programme of the school
Physical Education is a part of the core curriculum until year 10
Physical Education is an elective in Years 11 and 12
An outdoor sporting complex with a large modern well-equipped Gymnasium
Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Cross-Country Running, Football, Hockey, Netball, Soccer, Swimming and Tennis teams regularly represent the School in inter-school competition
A comprehensive and competitive inter-house competition
All Students who are able are required to train for inter-school sport and to represent their school
