There are a number of methods for students to safely travel to and from the Truganina Campus every day. (For students attending Williamstown Campus parents must make their own arrangements).
At least 750 students travel to Westbourne by bus every day. Bus routes are adapted annually as required, and are designed to pick up students in the morning at a point relatively close to their home (within the limitations of roads and the demographics of students) and to return them to approximately the same point in the afternoon. Students who do not wish to travel on the allocated bus route, and who would like to use an alternative route should contact the Transport Officer to determine whether an alternative suitable route is available.
The following services run to and from School:
Sita Coaches are contracted to supply a number of chartered buses for this purpose. Routes currently service the following areas:
- Sanctuary Lakes/Point Cook/Altona/Altona Nth/ Williamstown/Newport/Spotswood/Seddon/Yarraville/
- Footscray/West Footscray/Ascot Vale/St Albans/Sunshine/North & West Sunshine/
- Avondale Heights/Maidstone/Braybrook
- Taylors Lakes/Keilor Downs/Cairnlea/Hillside/Sydenham/Caroline Springs.
There is a fee to travel on Sita buses. The fee is reviewed annually and charged over the first three fee instalment invoices of each year.
ComfortDelGro Cabcharge (CDC) Victoria:
CDC supplies three school buses which are provided by Public Transport Victoria (PTV) for students who live in the Werribee/Point Cook/Hoppers Crossing/Tarneit and Wyndham Vale areas.
- Junior Students who travel on Public Transport Victoria (PTV) services with our CDC school buses will require a valid myki pass to travel. Children aged between four and sixteen (inclusive) can travel on a concession fare. Your myki card must be carried with you at all times when travelling.
Students aged 17 and over can apply for a Victorian Public Transport Student Concession Card and Student Pass. Concession tickets cost around one half of the full fare and are available for most ticket types. For more information on travelling on concession fares, concession cards and passes, click on the following link http://www.ptv.vic.gov.au/tickets/concessions/students/
In addition to our daily bus routes, the School supplies a limited number of 'late buses' on Monday to Thursday evenings for students who take part in after-school activities or who stay to use the resources in the school. These buses travel different routes to the daily buses and service all areas in which students live.
