Great teachers make all the difference—and three of ours have been recognised nationally for the impact they are making.
Congratulations to Joel Hogarth, Athena Kavaleris and William Stojkovski, who have been named 2025 Rising Stars by The Educator in their Rising Stars and School Leadership Awards. This national award honours outstanding educators aged 35 and under who are shaping the future of learning in meaningful ways.
Joel, Athena and Will are exceptional leaders whose passion, innovation and care are making a difference every day.
Joel is pioneering a whole-school Philosophy program, helping students from Prep to Year 12 build their ethical thinking, critical reasoning and courage to ask big questions. Athena, recently named HTAV Secondary Teacher of the Year, is redefining Humanities education while championing student wellbeing and professional growth. Will leads Westbourne’s pastoral care strategy, strengthening student voice and creating new initiatives to support student wellbeing across the Senior School.
We’re incredibly proud of Joel, Athena and Will—and excited to see how their leadership will continue to shape a bright future for our learners.
