Languages Week, an annual event, was held in the week starting the 7 May this year. As happens every year, students and teachers alike were kept busy with all the activities on offer during this time. Apart from enjoying activities like traditional Japanese theatre (Kabuki), calligraphy, wearing a Sumo suit and trivia quizzes, students and teachers always look forward to all the extra food on offer. The favourite was once again the German Brezeln, that were available across both the junior and senior campus, as well as the German sausages and the Japanese Poki. Usually the week is finished with a soccer match between the Year 12 Japanese and German students. Due to inclement weather this game had to be delayed to the following week. It was, as usual, an energetic and hotly contested game, with the Germans taking victory with four goals to one.
