Huge congratulations to senior school teachers Hiroki Kurihara and Christine Lambrianidis who have been chosen to participate in this year’s Teaching Excellence Program.
An initiative of The Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership, this year-long advanced learning program aims to drive excellence in teaching practice and strengthen student outcomes. To be eligible, participants must have a minimum of three years teaching experience, an endorsement from their principal and have demonstrated exceptional teaching in their key discipline. Grounded in a range of learning areas and aimed at deepening knowledge and skills, the program’s specifically designed conferences, masterclasses and self-directed learning, are enhanced by active support from the Academy’s Master Teachers. Graduates of the Excellence Program frequently contribute to program development, becoming influential role models for their colleagues.
We know how important it is for our teachers to be able to interact with experts in the profession while developing strategies that will enhance their classroom practice and proficiency.
Westbourne is delighted that Hiroki and Christine will be involved in this excellent professional learning opportunity.
