Year 6 Camp – Burnside
24 May 2018

On May 7, all Year 6 students said goodbye to their parents as they hopped on the bus and headed to Camp Burnside in Anglesea.  When we arrived, we got started straight away by discussing what we were looking forward to, our fears and what might challenge us in the coming week.  The activities we took part in included archery, high ropes, low ropes, bodyboarding, canoeing, hiking, camp out, orienteering, surf carnival, rock climbing and archery.

The team building and Initiative activities definitely helped the campers work together.

Our night activities included a Trivia Night and Talent Show, where Ryan Sherwood (6W) took out the top prize with his impressive dance moves.

Overall Year 6 Camp was both a fun and challenging experience.  At times we were pushed outside our comfort zones by having to work with different people, sleep in unfamiliar environments and by trying new things.  We are really looking forward to Year 7 Camp next year and we hope the Year 5s have as much fun next year as we have at Camp Burnside.
