Scholarships & Placement
Our scholarship program offers opportunities for exceptional students to reach their full potential at Westbourne. Scholarship testing takes place in February each year with applications opening in November of the preceding year. All students wishing to enter the school from Year 5 onwards must sit for Placement testing. Major intake testing for Years 7 and 9 occurs in March each year, with individual testing occurring at the time of application for other year levels.
Year 7 Scholarship applications for 2022 are now open.
  • General Excellence Scholarship to Year 7 2022 here.

A number of scholarships for General Excellence and Music are awarded each year.

The School offers General Excellence Scholarships for entry into Year 7. Academic excellence as well as overall engagement in sport, co-curricular programs, community service and contribution to school service are all taken into consideration.

All applicants must sit for the scholarship test on the nominated day. Scholarships aim to support students who will make a strong and positive contribution to their learning and to life at Westbourne.

Music Scholarships

  • Music Scholarship to Year 7 2022 here.

Students with commitment and passion for music as well as academic excellence are encouraged to apply for the Music scholarship available for entry into Year 7. All applicants must sit for the academic scholarship testing as well as undertake an audition on their chosen instrument. Music scholars are expected to participate fully in the musical and performance life of the extensive Music program for the duration of their time at Westbourne.
