Masterplan
A future-focused vision for learning
Our 15-year masterplan sets an ambitious course for the future – one that ensures every student continues to learn, thrive and belong in environments designed to inspire.
Endorsed in 2022, the masterplan lays out a staged vision for growth across our current campuses and a bold new chapter with the development of a third campus. It’s a practical and purposeful plan that that underpins the strategic aims of reinforcing Westbourne’s position as one of Australia’s best independent schools.
Across Truganina and Williamstown, the masterplan outlines a program of renewal, refurbishment, and repurposing. This revitalisation ensures our learning environments not only reflect today’s learners but have embedded flexibility and innovation that will adapt to the evolving future of teaching and learning.
With new facilities already taking shape, the Middle Years Learning Centre officially opened in November 2025 and will accommodate 800 Year 5 to 8 students from the beginning of 2026.
Stage two planning is also well advanced for a purpose-designed Music and Performing Arts Centre, comprising three levels of music tuition and performance spaces, rehearsal rooms, classrooms, a recording studio and collaboration areas. In addition, a number of other buildings and learning spaces will undergo upgrades and refurbishments as part of stage two.
As the visionary aspirations of the masterplan continue to take shape in new buildings and environments, Westbourne’s future footprint is emerging as an extraordinary place to teach and learn.
What’s next
A new campus at Lovely Banks
Lovely Banks, just north of Geelong, has been identified for a new community, with first stage development approved for 42,000 homes.
Westbourne’s landholding within this precinct will be the site of a new Prep to Year 12 campus for 1,500 students, and being just 30 minutes from the Truganina Campus, it will respond to growing demand for independent education across the fast growing corridor between Melbourne and Geelong.
More information will be added as we progress through the planning process.
