Getting to school safely and easily
Students travel to Westbourne in a range of ways – from walking or riding to catching a public (PTV) bus or one of our dedicated charter buses.
School bus serviceEach day, our extensive school bus network connects students from across the inner north and west of Melbourne with our Truganina and Williamstown campuses. With growing demand, we review and adjust our bus routes yearly in September to make sure they continue to meet the needs of our families. Stops are selected based on where students live and road accessibility. Every student is allocated the closest available stop to their home. As well as daily morning and afternoon services, we also offer late buses from Monday to Thursday for students taking part in after-school activities or using school resources. All buses depart from the main bus bay on campus.
Bus fees and changes to travelBus fees are billed in four equal instalments across the year, together with your school fees. If you plan to stop using the school bus, please update your details by submitting a revised STM (Student Transport Method) form on MyWestbourne. A full term’s notice is required for any changes, including cancellations – otherwise, fees for the full term will still apply. If your child stops using the service part-way through the year, the full annual bus fee will still apply unless notice is provided in writing. In exceptional circumstances, the Director of Business may consider a fee adjustment for long-term absences.
Public transportStudents travelling on the Werribee Metro Line can get off at Williams Landing Station. From there, bus routes 150 and 151 stop directly outside the Truganina Campus via Marquands Road or Sayers Road. For current public transport routes and timetables, visit Public Transport Victoria.
