NEiTA honours Dr Camm’s leadership impact
The NEiTA Foundation has awarded Westbourne Grammar’s Principal and Managing Director, Dr Adrian Camm, the NEiTA Leadership Award in the 31st National Excellence in Teaching Awards – an honour reserved for educational leaders whose work delivers lasting impact across their school communities in Australia and New Zealand.
NEiTA is the region’s longest-running program recognising educational leadership and teaching excellence. It celebrates not only a school’s achievements but also the opportunities it creates for students, staff and families.
Under Dr Camm’s leadership, Westbourne has advanced a strategic agenda that is ambitious including development of the new Middle Years Learning Centre; a professional practice model that prioritises time, growth and wellbeing; AI and Drone Academies, and programs that broaden how students learn and who they can become, from Echoes and Dialogues to enterprise learning.
As NEiTA Chairperson Catherine O’Sullivan noted, “The Westbourne Grammar School community is strengthened, courtesy of Adrian’s ability to motivate, educate, and inspire the next generation of young minds. As an extraordinary principal, he is leaving a lasting mark on the lives of countless students.”
Earlier this year, the Australian Education Awards named Dr Camm Australian Principal of the Year – a national recognition of excellence across the government and independent sectors. In contrast, NEiTA’s Leadership Award spans Australia and New Zealand, recognising sustained leadership that positively impacts whole communities.
This is the work we stand for – leadership that equips educators to do their best work and students to thrive, now and in the future.
