For the first time in the 27-year history of the Association of Co-educational Schools (ACS), Westbourne has achieved an unprecedented clean sweep – being crowned Overall Aggregate Champion in all three major carnival sports: Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country.

This historic result represents far more than sporting success. It is the culmination of years of planning, commitment and collaboration across the school’s sporting program. From pre-dawn swim sessions to long-distance training runs and afternoons on the athletics track, Westbourne students have shown remarkable determination and discipline throughout the season.

Matthew Healy, Director of Sport said the achievement reflects the strength of Westbourne’s sporting culture.

“To win all three aggregate titles in the same year is something truly special. It speaks to the dedication of our student-athletes, the expertise of our coaches, and the unwavering support of staff and families who make participation at this level possible.”

The ACS aggregate awards recognise consistent excellence across every event, with points awarded for both individual and team performances. Westbourne’s success across the three disciplines highlights the depth of talent and the spirit of unity that defines its approach to sport.

Every student who has worn the Westbourne colours this year, whether training, competing, or cheering from the sidelines, has contributed to this extraordinary moment in our school’s history. It is a result that reflects not just athletic ability, but courage, resilience and community.

Congratulations to our athletes, coaches and supporters on this landmark achievement – a true embodiment of the Westbourne spirit.
