This year has been a very exciting one for our whole school community as the new sports and aquatic centre has taken shape.

Facing onto Marquands Road, once completed, Westbourne will have its own twenty-five metre, eight-lane pool, a learn-to-swim pool, dance studio, weights room and landscaped surroundings.

To mark the commencement of building in mid-2017, Principal, Meg Hansen, used a special commemorative silver shovel to symbolically turn the first sod on this signature project. Since then, the pool has gone from being a big hole in the ground to being the jewell in the crown in what will a magnificent indoor educational resource.

The dream that Westbourne would have its own swimming pool will soon be realised as this major undertaking nears completion and is officially opened in early 2019.
