Westbourne Grammar School welcomes applications for enrolment for all year levels, Prep to Year 12. Our main intake years are Prep (for children who have turned five by 31 January of the year they start school), Year 7 and Year 9.

From time to time, there may be places available at other year levels.

Please ensure all applicable questions are answered and that all documentation requested is attached, including:

  • A copy of the Birth Certificate for students who are Australian Citizens.
  • A copy of the Birth Certificate, Passport and Visa for students who are not Australian Citizens – this is also necessary for those who have Permanent Residency.
  • The non-refundable application fee of $150 is required at the time of application.

Step 2
Application Assessment

As applications are received they are processed by our admissions team. The Head of Admissions then assesses all applications.

Students entering Years 5-12 will be required to undertake placement testing which is an academic assessment.

Step 3
Offer of a Place

If the application for enrolment is successful and your child is being offered a place, a formal offer and Confirmation of Enrolment document will be sent to the family.

Step 4
Accepting the Offer

To accept the offer of a place at Westbourne Grammar, the following must be submitted to the school:

  • Confirmation of Enrolment form including Medical Data section to be completed and signed by both parents
  • Provide an Immunisation History Statement
  • Complete the provided Supplementary Parent Data form
  • Payment of the appropriate fees
Enrolment Policy
Westbourne Grammar School is a
co-educational school and will endeavour to provide gender balance* across the school.

Applications must be completed for each student for entry to the school regardless of whether a sibling is already enrolled and attending the school. Priority of admission is as follows:

  1. Siblings of existing students
  2. Children of past students
  3. Children of current, permanent staff members

*Please note: Westbourne Grammar School currently operates with an exemption to the Equal Opportunity Act to enable the structuring of waiting lists to ensure greater gender balance in our co-educational school.

Placement Testing

The School requires all new student applicants from Year 5 onwards to sit a placement test to ensure we are able to offer appropriate academic programs and pathways.

Our major intake years are Year 7 and Year 9 with placement testing usually occurring in February of the year when the student is in Year 5 or Year 8. Additional places become available from time to time, so please contact the school for any other enquiries.
