The last event on the Public Speaking calendar this year was the ACS competition. This competition has only six competitors in each division and speakers have only one try make their point.

Our competitors this year were:

• Senior : Emily Thompson 11F – “Youth Empowerment”
• Intermediate: Angus McNamara 9P – “Plastic in our lives”
• Junior : Emnah El Hawli 7F – “Annoying things about flying”

The competition was of a very high level each student expressed their point of view intelligently with a clever twist to hook the audience.

Angus McNamara placed third at his level.
