On Friday the 24 August, the Prefect group hosted the annual Prefect’s Trivia and Auction Night, one of Westbourne’s larger fundraisers for Kampuchea House. The evening centralized around the auction and featuring interesting rounds of trivia, mini games and raffle prizes, made for an exciting evening for all who attended. For the Prefect group, the event was quite a task to organise and spent the months leading up to the night looking for donations, creating the trivia questions and designing the floor plans and running sheets in order to make the event run as smoothly as possible. The result was an enjoyable event with an atmosphere of fun and a hint of competitiveness.
The atmosphere of the night was extremely enjoyable, with parents, teachers and family friends getting into the spirit of the night in avidly participating in trivia rounds and bidding in the auction. Most of the Prefects had never been to the Prefect auction in past, but I think we would all agree that the relaxed mood for a school event makes it a really fun night.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Prefect auction running smoothly including those who made donations, Mr Nowak, Ms Mac, and David Lawson who was our auctioneer, helping to make one of the last official events for our time as Prefects successful and memorable.
