Westbourne is delighted to announce that Teagan Collins has accepted the position of Deputy Principal commencing in January 2022.
Highly experienced in teaching, learning innovation, pastoral care and school management, Teagan comes to Westbourne from Loreto Mandeville Hall where she is Director of Programs and a member of the school’s Leadership Team. At Loreto, her responsibilities have included the development and implementation of a five-year Strategic Plan and capital expenditure budget, management of recruitment and annual reviews and the operation of all co-curricular activities and academic enrichment programs Prep to Year 12. From 2017-19 she was Head of Health Sciences at Loreto achieving outstanding results teaching Year 12 Units 3 and 4. Prior to her years at Loreto, Teagan was Head of Sport at St Leonard’s College. In addition to this role she was also Director of Netball, a Year 7 Mentor and actively involved in staff development, ACS competitions and the development of a successful high performance program for the school’s athletes.
An elite netballer representing both Victoria and Australia, Teagan’s work as an educator is focused on young people’s wellbeing and development as global citizens. Her vision for teaching and learning is based on a desire to provide enriching learning environments which build courage and creativity.
Strongly committed to the concept of life-long learning Teagan’s outstanding professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Physical Education (Secondary), a Master of Education (Leadership and Management), Master of Business Administration (Executive), Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Catholic Culture, Graduate Certificate in Management of Not-for-Profit Organisations and a Professional Certificate in Education (Positive Psychology).
