In the wake of the Christchurch tragedy, Westbourne reached out to our colleagues at Al Taqwa to offer our condolences and support.  Last Thursday we invited Al Taqwa’s Principal, Executive, Imam and Counsellors to meet with us in the Chapel prior to a special morning tea.  Principal Meg Hansen, Rev Morrison, Michelle Noonan and the School Captains were invited to the special Service for Solidarity at Al Taqwa on Friday, attended by many other community groups, schools and organisations.  We all expressed our hopes for a more tolerant, peaceful and united country as well as our sympathies to the families of victims of this senseless act.
