Year 5 and 6 Representative Soccer Side
6 September 2018

During Term 3, Westbourne Grammar’s representative soccer side progressed all the way to the Regional finals, where they fell agonisingly short of making it through to the State Finals for a second time.

Their journey started with a comprehensive 5-1 win in the District qualifier against St Michaels. From there it was the South-East Division tournament where a last second goal from Lachlan McGuire (6M) saw the team win and qualify for the Melbourne Regional finals. The team played well winning two games and losing only once. However, due to the loss we fell short on the ‘head-to-head’ tiebreaker and missed out on progressing to the State Finals.

Congratulations to all players for working hard and playing in the right manner.
